A life-long cattle rancher and general outdoors enthusiast, Dub lives in the picturesque Wallowa valley of Northeast Oregon, where he owns and operates Ninebark Outfitters. Raised in Texas and Arkansas, he attended both Texas A&M and Auburn Universities, graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration.

Music has always been a big part of his life, starting at the age of 14, when he bought his first guitar. He picked up the banjo a couple of years later, and has continued flailing away ever since. With no charisma, and very little talent, he still dreams of being a "rock star," adored by millions. However, due to circumstances (listed above) beyond his control, he has not yet realized that dream. Friends, Neighbors, Romans, and Countrymen along the way have included such folks as; Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Lyle Lovett, Peter Coyote, John Barlow (Greatful Dead lyricist), and Eric Taylor.

He has been known to sit in with scoundrels of the first-water such as Jimmy Lloyd Rea, and Jimmy Bivens. He currently plays with award winning singer/songwritter Henry Kinsley (in 3 different bands) with whom he released last year's hit album "In The Shadow Of The Mountain." He plans to return to the studio soon with a new batch of songs, guaranteed to offend all of the senses.

And, in case you were wondering, he does not often refer to himself in the third-person. :)
